And not all of the noises are sweet songs. Parrots are famous for their talking and singing. But you might want to know that they shout making stupid noises and if you plan to keep a parrot as a pet, you better learn to deal with the noise.

The noise can make your neighbors complain about your pet. So, you need to know how you can keep your pet quite. There are ways to keep them quite. You need to know their way of communication. You need to understand why she is making the noise. You have to accept the fact that there is nothing called a quiet parrot. It will squawk for hours without getting tired and once they feel that they are done they will stop.

The funny thing is, parrots squawk more when they are more comfortable with their environment. When you bring a new parrot, they are likely to be calm and quiet as they are adapting to the new home environment.

Normally parrots squawk early in the morning and quiets down. And again they would start making noise during sunset. They are also likely to make noises after waking up from a nap. This is what a happy parrot does and you do not need to be worried about this. But if you notice your parrot is making excess noise, then it might be the case that you have chosen a species that is noisier.

You need to learn to identify the happy chirping and an unhappy squawking of your parrot. You can easily find it out once you spend some time with your parrot. You can know by the tone whether it is happy or sad.

Once you have identified the reason of the noise, make your parrot busy. Bored parrots are likely to make more noise. Give them toys to play with. You will notice that the squawking has faded and became low in volume. You will get these parrot toys in the pet shops. Also make sure you provide fresh food to the parrot. A healthy parrot will make less noise. Keep the parrot in a spacious cage so that is has enough space to move around. If possible let it out of the cage sometimes so that it can roam around in the open space.
